WHO AM I
My name is Corinne Amar, I am a french native speaker teacher, coming from Paris. I’ve been living in Zurich for 7 years and have been teaching French as a self-employed teacher for over a year.
Different reasons brought me to teaching but the main one is certainly the interaction with the people in my mother tongue as well as the enrichment of this interaction with people, giving them the knowledge of my beautiful language passing through the significant cultural impact French language has projected outwards for centuries.
I obtained my B.A in american and english literature in Paris as well as a Master in Anthropology a few years later. In addition, I did a traineeship in the Montessori pedagogy in teaching children from 3 to 6 years and had the great opportunity to work in a Montessori school for 2 years. I am currently finishing my studies B.A then a Master in French Modern Literature at University of Dijon.
I have been teaching for a number of years in different schools, specialised language schools and high schools, as well as one-to-one freelance teaching.
I started to teach French and Italian in a language school in Zurich, to then move to the Montessori Kindergarten using the Montessori Pedagogy. Last year, I decided to become independent and to work for myself. I started to give private lessons to children, students and adults. , I am currently also working in private schools to broaden my teaching experiences.
A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning.
